🏖️ New Sandbox on the Playground! 🐾 Our Elementary Student Council had a big idea last year: a sandbox for the playground— and thanks to the support of our staff and community, it’s finally here!

The sand was delivered, the space is ready, and our Tigers can’t wait to enjoy it at recess.

A special thank you to community volunteer Mark Grapp for hauling the sand, and to our amazing P.T.O. for donating the funds for the cement curbing that made this project possible.

Way to go, Student Council, for dreaming big! 🌟

We believe in supporting the mental health and well-being of students to help them reach their full potential. That’s why we’ve partnered with Cartwheel, a virtual mental health provider to give students & families access to:

🧠 A licensed therapist or psychiatrist with no waitlist, within a matter of days.

🖥️ Telehealth sessions from 8am to 8pm, whenever is most convenient.

🗣️ Care in several languages, including English, Spanish, and others.

✅ Completely free care for families who have Medicaid or are uninsured and an in-network provider for families with private insurance.

🫶 Individual therapy sessions that are available for grades 3 and up and parent guidance sessions at all grade levels that are meant to help parents with strategies for supporting their child.

Families are often the first to recognize when their child might benefit from mental health support, so we wanted to make it easy for you to access these services. If you want to learn more or sign up, visit www.cartwheel.org/families.

We’ve made some adjustments to the bus schedule that was previously shared. Please take a moment to review the revised stop times, as there may be changes that affect your child’s pickup or drop-off times.

As we settle into the new school year, additional adjustments may be made over the next couple of weeks to help routes run more efficiently. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make transportation as smooth as possible for all students.

ASL 1 students survived their first introduction to American Sign Language! The very first hour of their first day back to school, these 18 students were immediately immersed into an unfamiliar second language. They had to use their critical thinking skills and environmental clues to figure out what their teacher wanted them to do, and how to play along in a fast paced activity. I'm super proud of them for jumping in with both feet, and doing it with style. Way to go ASL students! we are going to have a very fun year! --Mrs. Tracey
