Welcome to the 2024–2025 School Year

July 24, 2024

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students:

On behalf of the entire staff of St. David Schools, we would like to welcome you to the 2024–2025 school year. Our competent and caring staff will once again provide an inviting school climate where staff, students, parents, and the community work as respectful partners in the education of our children.

The beginning of a new school year can be a stressful time for children with new teachers, classmates, new routines, etc. As a parent ,you can help by being excited about their first day of school. Show your interest in school by attending our open house where you can show them their classroom, meet their teacher, walk around the school to locate their lunchroom, playground, restrooms, etc. Visitors are always welcome at our school. When you arrive, remember to sign in at the office and obtain a visitor badge. We invite you to become an active member of the St. David school community. We offer many opportunities for parents to become involved in our school during the day by volunteering in the classroom, front office, library, cafeteria, playground, as well as by becoming an active member of the PTO/Booster Club, and participating in our special events.

In order to ensure academic success at the highest level we can we are setting the following expectation.

K–8th Grade: Students are not to have their phones out during the school day. This not only includes classroom but also recess and lunch time.

High School: Students are not to have their cell phones out during class at any time. This includes assemblies and presentations. They may have them out during lunch time.

Helping us meet this expectation will assist in offering your student the best education possible.

Please also ensure regular school attendance. Attendance has a direct effect on academic achievement. Please assist your student in attending school regularly and being on time.

Reminders:

Open House: Friday, August 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Please report to the high school gym for a brief welcome and introduction of the new staff. A supply list for your student(s) classroom will be available at the open house, on the district website, and can also be found at Wal-Mart.

First Day of School: Monday, August 5 for grades kindergarten through 12th grade.

We look forward to working together to ensure a successful year for your children.

Respectfully,

Andrew Brogan
