Transportation

Safe & Reliable School Transportation
Our Transportation Department is committed to the safety of each and every child we transport. Our students' safety requires shared cooperation and responsible actions by the bus driver, students, and their parents. We rely on all of the students, supported by their parents or guardians, to follow procedures that contribute to the safety of everyone on the bus. As always, safety is our number one consideration as we establish bus routes and provide student transportation. We require all students and parents of students who will ride the bus to complete the Bus Riding Privilege Form.
The department supports all district transportation needs, including special needs transportation, accommodating all extracurricular and activity trip busing needs, and providing vehicles for employees to attend workshops and conferences.

K-2 Bus Transportation Policy Update 8.2.25
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are writing to remind you of our safety procedures for bus transportation for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
In order for a K–2 student to be dropped off at their designated bus stop, a legal guardian must be present at the stop. If a guardian is not present, the student will not be released and will be returned to the school for pick-up.
To ensure flexibility and prevent any disruption to your child’s routine, you may authorize additional individuals (age 16 or older) to pick up your child from the bus stop. Please make sure that the Bus Pick-Up Authorization Form is completed and submitted to the front office as soon as possible. Only those listed on this form will be allowed to receive your child from the bus driver.
We appreciate your cooperation and ongoing support in keeping our students safe.
Sincerely,
Andrew Brogan, Principal
Transportation Changes and Safety Guidelines
Student Transportation Changes: If a student needs to ride a different bus or get off at a different stop, they must have a note stating permission from their parent/guardian. We cannot drop off children at stops of their choice without written permission. This rule applies to all grade levels, including high school. In an emergency, if you did not have the opportunity to write a note in advance, you may call the front office to make the arrangement. (520) 720-4781, ext.105
Bus Yard Safety: For safety reasons, students are not allowed inside the bus yard. Walking or cutting through the bus yard to reach the street is strictly prohibited.
Food & Candy on the Bus: For safety and cleanliness, food and candy are not allowed on the bus. Eating on the bus creates a choking hazard and makes it difficult to keep the buses clean. Thank you for helping us remind students and for supporting this important safety rule!
For complete bus rules, please refer to the Conduct on the Bus section of our student handbook.

The dedication of our Transportation Team keeps us moving forward every day!
