Tuesday, May 19 will be a half-day of school with dismissal at 12:30 p.m. Due to short staffing in our Transportation Department, students who ride the bus in the afternoon will follow a combined route schedule.

Please review the combined route schedule here: https://aptg.co/0mR0fF

✨ Scholarship success at St. David! ✨🎓 The St. David Class of 2026 continues to amaze us! We are incredibly proud to recognize scholarship recipients: Cayden Richins, Jaxon Savage, Aaron Edington, Cedar Haynie, Austyn Hatch, Rachel Hatch, Paisley Gooding, Emelynn Jacquez, and Anna Daley. Also receiving a scholarship, but not pictured, was Isaac Wilson.

Together, this outstanding class has earned over $400,000 in scholarship awards—a remarkable accomplishment that reflects years of hard work, dedication, leadership, and perseverance.

This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of our generous local contributors and scholarship sponsors, including SSVEC, AZ G&T, Apache Nitrogen, Benson Rotary, Sierra Vista Rotary, Benson Historical Museum, Benson Historical Society, Benson Hospital, Sierra Vista and Willcox Elks Lodges, Benson Friends of the Library, Red Cross, ASBA, Paradise Ranch, the Grapp Family, the Not Your Average Joe Memorial, the Hardwick Family, along with many other local, state, and national organizations.

We are deeply grateful for a community that invests in the future of our students. We cannot wait to watch these young men and women pursue their dreams and see where life takes them.

Last night, the Governing Board voted to change school release times for the upcoming school year.

Beginning next school year:

Kindergarten through 5th grade students will be released at 2:30 p.m.
6th through 12th grade students will be released at 3:30 p.m.

We understand that schedule changes impact family routines, transportation, and after-school planning, and we wanted to share this information as early as possible so families have time to prepare.

🎉 Congratulations to our May 2026 CTE Student of the Month, Jaxon Savage, representing our Culinary Arts program through the Cochise Technology District! 👨‍🍳🏅

Jaxon has had an outstanding year in our program. In his very first year competing, he earned a Silver Medal at the FCCLA State Competition — an incredible accomplishment that reflects his dedication, hard work, and skill in the kitchen.

He is always well-prepared and consistently practices and refines his techniques to perform at his very best. He also stood out by winning our Peep Challenge and quickly became known as our “famous green chile maker,” showcasing both creativity and confidence in culinary arts.

Mrs. Weisling and Mrs. Hunt have truly noticed Jaxon’s growth this year and are incredibly impressed with his natural talent for culinary arts. His passion, commitment to excellence, and strong work ethic have made him a standout student in our program.

👏 We are so proud of you, Jaxon! Keep up the amazing work!
