❤️ Why teaching?
After volunteering in her son Nathan's kindergarten class, Mrs. Pritchard became a 5th grade aide. The students seemed bored, and she thought, "I could do that and make it fun!" That moment inspired her to become a teacher. She says that, being new to the American way of life, she didn't even realize a college degree was required!
😂 Fun Fact:
Before moving to Arizona, Mrs. Pritchard thought roadrunners only existed in cartoons! Finding out they were real birds was quite a surprise. Beep Beep! 🐦
🍽️ Outside the classroom:
Mrs. Pritchard and her husband enjoy trying new restaurants, and once they're home, she loves recreating the delicious dishes they discovered together.
📚 Her goal for students:
She hopes every child learns to always try their best and take pride in what they accomplish.
✨ Three words that describe her classroom:
📚 Organized
🎯 Focused
🎉 Fun
💬 Advice for students:
"We don't say 'I can't.' We say, 'I will try.'"
🎉 Just for fun...
🥨 Sweet or Salty? Salty!
🏖️🏔️ Beach or Mountains? Both—as long as it's quiet! 😎
Thank you, Mrs. Pritchard, for helping our youngest Tigers build confidence, develop a love of learning, and discover that trying their best is something to be proud of. We're so grateful to have you as part of the St. David family! 💙💛

Back-to-School Meet the Teacher Night Update
Due to the uncertainty of the final stages of our summer construction projects and potential weather impacts, our Back-to-School/Meet the Teacher Night, originally scheduled for Thursday, July 31, has been cancelled.
As many of you know, our campus has been undergoing important improvements this summer, including the installation of new HVAC units and ductwork upgrades. We appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility as we work through the final stages of these projects.
Please note: School is still scheduled to begin as planned on Monday, August 3.
We will continue to share important back-to-school information through our website, social media pages, email, and our school app.
We will announce the rescheduled date for Meet the Teacher Night as soon as details are available.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We look forward to welcoming our students back for a great school year!
As many of you know, our campus has been undergoing significant facility improvements this summer, including the replacement of all air conditioning units and upgrades to our HVAC systems. We are pleased to continue supporting this longstanding community tradition by making our outdoor spaces available; however, construction activities will still be in progress on Friday and Saturday as crews work diligently to complete the project before the start of the school year.
For the safety of our visitors and construction crews, all campus buildings will be closed to the public except the 1938 Building and designated public restroom areas. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep construction zones secure.
Please help us keep everyone safe by supervising children at all times, avoiding active construction areas, and watching your step, as small construction debris may still be present in some areas.
🚻 Public restrooms will be available in:
MPR Breezeway
3rd–5th Grade Playground
1938 Building
Middle School Hallway
🎨 The Art Show will be located in the 1938 Building due to ongoing roof construction at the MPR.
🍽️ The BBQ Lunch will be served at the tennis courts due to ongoing construction at K-Hall.
🚨 Fire alarm system testing will take place on Friday. Visitors may experience occasional alarm sounds or brief interruptions during the testing process.
🚭 No smoking or vaping anywhere on campus.
🐾 Pets are not permitted on school grounds.
A special thank you to the St. David Heritage Society for the countless hours they dedicate behind the scenes to make Pioneer Days such a wonderful community tradition. Their commitment to preserving our local history and bringing our community together is truly appreciated. We are grateful for their partnership and all they do to make this event possible.
