Attention Parents of Students in Grades K–4: We are in the process of finalizing classroom placements for the upcoming school year. Before assignments are set, we would like to offer families the opportunity to submit teacher requests. If you would like to request a specific teacher for your child, please include a brief explanation of the reasons for your preference. While we cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled, we will do our best to accommodate those received by Monday, July 7th. These include: *AzSCI (Arizona Science Test) for grades 5, 8, and 11, and *AASA (Arizona’s Academic Standards Assessment for Math & ELA) for grades 3–8. These reports, provided by the Arizona Department of Education, can be picked up at the front office Monday through Thursday, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

We’re excited to share a change for the upcoming school year that we believe will have a positive impact on student learning. After thoughtful discussion, feedback and planning, our school board has approved a new release schedule that will go into effect this fall: • Kindergarten–2nd Grade will continue to be released at 2:30 PM • 3rd–12th Grade will be released at 3:30 PM The decision to extend the school day for our upper elementary students was guided by the following goals: • To provide additional instructional time that supports academic growth and student achievement • To better accommodate our older students who remain on campus for after-school sports • To expand access to specials like art, music, and P.E. We want to thank the parents who responded to our survey and the members of the planning committee who helped shape this proposal. We understand that any adjustment to daily schedules can take some getting used to, and we’re here to support you through this transition. We’re looking forward to a fantastic school year ahead!
