Last week, AZ Central announced its top 10 high school softball players in the state for March 16–21, based on input from coaches, and we’re thrilled to celebrate Camber Jacquez being recognized among the best!
When voting opened, support for Camber quickly took off. Thanks to her outstanding performance and the excitement surrounding her nomination, momentum built throughout the week. In an incredibly close race for the top spot, Camber edged out MJ Garcia of Empire High School in Tucson, earning an impressive 2,432 votes (46.88%) to secure the No. 1 position!
Camber’s success comes as no surprise. Her dedication, talent, and leadership make her a standout athlete and an outstanding representative of St. David High School. Whether on the field or off, she continues to make us proud!!!

St. David Preschool has two screening dates remaining for the upcoming school year: April 9 and May 7.
Our preschool program serves children ages 3–5 and supports development in communication, learning, social/emotional skills, motor skills, and more. We offer a nurturing, inclusive environment with both general education and specialized support services.

Mrs. Smith’s passion for inspiring students, her creative and engaging approach to teaching, and her commitment to helping every student grow have truly set her apart. From bringing literature to life through hands-on projects and performances to creating meaningful, real-world learning experiences, she makes a lasting impact in and beyond the classroom.
She has advanced past the first round and will travel to Sierra Vista this Friday for her finalist interview, where she’ll share her story, teaching philosophy, and the powerful ways she supports student success.

Through an engaging and interactive presentation, students explored the rock cycle and discovered the three main types of rocks—igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. His enthusiasm and expertise made complex concepts easy to understand and sparked curiosity in our young learners.
