Meet Our Governing Board
The St. David Unified School’s Governing Board is made up of five elected community members. They generously volunteer their time and talents to help the district deliver the best possible educational opportunities to our students. Their duties include helping the superintendent and district administrators set policy, hire and retain quality staff, and to encourage parent involvement in the educational process.

Our board meetings are at 6:00 p.m. unless indicated otherwise, located in the conference room at 70 E. Patton Street, St. David, AZ. Please view our meeting dates for the 2019–2020 school year:

Biography
About Nelson Daley
Nelson Daley has served on the St. David School Board since 2007 and has served on the Arizona School Board Association legislative committee since 2009. Nelson is a sixth generation native of Arizona's Gila Valley and is married to Ester Mayberry, who is an alumni of St. David schools. Nelson and Ester have six children who are either in the St. David school system or anxiously awaiting the age of entrance into kindergarten.
Nelson's background is in farming, ranching, land development, and construction. He studied International Marketing and Business Management at Arizona State University. He speaks Korean and Japanese, although English has become much more dominant in St. David. Nelson is one of the founders of R&R Pizza Express, which takes most of his time that's left after the kids are done with him.
