St. DavidUnified School District #21

Food Services

Our purpose is to provide our students with nutritious meals in a pleasant surrounding. We are committed to delivering high quality, nutritious meals to our students.

We prepare our lunch menus to provide both appeal and proper nutrition to our students. The variety of our menus ensures that our students get all of the necessary nutrients and other substances associated with good health, clear thinking, and a balanced diet. We teach the importance of nutritious meals while encouraging good eating habits. We recognize that nutrition impacts classroom performance, so our menus and food preparation is designed to teach health wellness. We also encourage parents to help their children to eat healthy, nutritious foods both at school and at home. To see what we are doing to accomplish this, we invite you to read the district's student wellness policy.

For information on our district policy for meal charges, please see our school lunch policy.

We would love your input! If you have any recipe ideas or suggestions please email Jennifer Lopshire.

School Meal Changes

The Universal Free Lunches option has expired so we will not be able to provide free lunches to all students as we have enjoyed during the pandemic through the USDA. For the coming school year, we are required to transition back to paid lunches or free/reduced lunches based on applications through the National School Lunch Program.

The income threshold has changed to be able to help more community members so we encourage everyone to apply for free and reduced lunches by July 30. Free/reduced lunch applications are now available in the front office or here on our Food Services page.

Prices for student lunches are $2.45 (K–8) and $2.95 (9–12).

Mrs. Lopshire, our Food Service Director, will be available at back to school night to help explain and answer any questions from parents. We thank our cafeteria staff for working tirelessly to provide healthy food to our students!

Free & Reduced

To complete an application for free or reduced meals, please complete the form on this page (in either English or Spanish). Turn your completed application form into the high school cafeteria, fax it to us at (520) 720.4783, or mail it to our Food Service Office at:
