⚡️ Electrical Safety Fun for K–3! ⚡️

Today our K–3 students had a special visit from SSVEC’s “Outlet” and “Toaster” as they brought an engaging electrical safety presentation to our campus! 👏

Students learned important safety lessons in a fun and memorable way, including how to identify electrical hazards in the home, the dangers of mixing water and electricity, fire hazards, and what to do if a downed power line or pole is ever seen.

SSVEC’s safety program is designed to help children understand that most electrical accidents can be prevented when they know what to look for and how to stay safe.

A big thank you to SSVEC for making safety education so interactive—and unforgettable—for our youngest learners! ⚡️🍞🔌

Thursday marked our final home baseball game of the season as the St. David Tigers hosted the Patagonia Lobos—and it was Senior Night!

We proudly honored our senior players, Jaxson Brogan, Cedar Haynie, Adrian Nuernberger, Chase Pacheco and Cayden Richins, who have shown outstanding dedication, leadership, and commitment throughout their time in St. David baseball. From early practices to long games, they have represented St. David with heart, effort, and pride.

Senior Night is a chance to celebrate not only their time on the field, but also the lasting memories, growth, and friendships they’ve built as teammates, competitors, and young leaders. We are incredibly proud of each of you as you close this chapter and step into your future.

The Tigers went on to deliver a dominant 15–0 victory over Patagonia—an outstanding way to honor our seniors in their final home appearance.

Congratulations to our seniors, and great work, Tigers! 🐅

We are proud to celebrate two outstanding seniors who have committed to continuing their academic and athletic journeys at the next level!

🏈 Isaac Wilson has committed to Azusa Pacific University, where he will play football on the defensive line. After a campus visit earlier this year and a strong recommendation from his coaches, Isaac earned this opportunity through his hard work and dedication. He plans to defer enrollment for two years to serve a mission for his church before joining the program.

🥎 Austyn Hatch has committed to Arizona Western College, where she will compete as a catcher and shortstop. Austyn shared:
“I’m so excited to announce that I’ve committed to continue my academic and athletic career at Arizona Western College! Thank you to my family, coaches, and teammates for supporting me every step of the way. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait for what’s ahead. Go Matadors!”

Please join us in congratulating Isaac and Austyn on this exciting next chapter. Your hard work has paid off, and we can’t wait to see all you accomplish!

Mrs. Chic’s Chicks Have Arrived! 🐣After three weeks of excitement and hands-on learning, Mrs. Ciccariello’s 4th grade class has officially welcomed their newly hatched chicks! Throughout this project, students explored the chicken life cycle, from eggs to fluffy hatchlings, observing each stage with curiosity and care.

The classroom was filled with anticipation as students candled eggs, tracked development, and patiently waited for hatch day. Watching the chicks break out of their shells was an unforgettable moment that brought science to life right before their eyes.

We’re so proud of our young scientists for their dedication and enthusiasm.

What a fantastic Opening Night for our school’s production of The Lion King Musical! 🌅🦁The Lansing Auditorium was packed on Wednesday evening as our talented cast took the stage and truly shined. From start to finish, the energy, music, and performances captivated the audience.

Crowd favorites Timon and Pumbaa, played by Mark Bryant and Cooper Monroe, brought laughter and heart to the show, while Georgiana Brown dazzled with an incredible performance as Rafiki. Every member of the main cast delivered strong, confident performances and sang beautifully throughout the night.

We are especially proud of the many supporting roles that helped bring this production to life—including our elementary students, who charmed the audience as animals, lionesses, and dancers.

A heartfelt thank you to our community sponsors for their generous financial support: Pioneer Title Agency, The Lakes at St. David, Hone's Benson Fuel, 4 Evr Ranch, Benson Dental and the St. David Heritage Society. Your contributions make experiences like this possible for our students.

This amazing production is directed by the amazing Ron Higginbotham and produced by Brian Brown, with support from our dedicated student lighting and sound crew.

Don’t miss your chance to see the show! Join us Saturday for two final performances at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM.

This is a reminder that due to our temporary transportation staffing shortage, bus routes will be combined this afternoon, Wednesday, April 15 and tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, April 16.

2:30 PM Routes (Grades K–2): These routes will run mostly as usual; however, students will be transported in a white van instead of a bus.
3:30 PM Route: All students will be combined into one route.

Please review the attached document for approximate combined route stops and times. We kindly ask for your patience, as arrival times may vary slightly and could be a few minutes earlier or later than estimated.
17 days ago, St. David Schools
For list of stops and times see transportation page of school website

Due to a temporary staffing shortage in our transportation department, we will need to combine afternoon bus routes on Wednesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 16.

As a result, some students may experience longer ride times than usual. If you prefer to make alternate transportation arrangements for your child on these days, please contact Ricquelle Wilson at rwilson@stdavid.org.

We understand this may cause inconvenience and appreciate your patience and flexibility.
