🍎 Teacher Spotlight: Our 3rd–5th Grade Team 🍎 Monday these smiling faces will be ready to welcome their new students! Introducing our amazing 3rd–5th grade team:
💙 Celi Martin
💙 Sky Estrella
💙 Barbie Grapp
💙 Joyce Mayberry
💙 Kim Bullington
💙 Ashley Merrill (and baby!)
💙 Natasha Krebs
When we asked how many years they've been teaching, their answer was: "Zero to Forty-One. You have to guess. Counting wrinkles doesn't work." 😂
What inspired them to become teachers? "It was too far to travel to be Disney Princesses." 👑
Outside of school, they say there's "maybe a little" life beyond the classroom. This talented team includes a ski instructor, snake charmer, raccoon chaser, motorcycle enthusiast, amazing mothers, and readers. (We'll let you figure out who's who!)
Their classrooms are a judgment-free zone, and they hope every student learns that learning is interesting, you can have fun while you're working, and that you'll always remember your fabulous teacher!
Their advice for students this year? "Find the fun in learning! It's cool to be smart." 💙💛
We're so excited for our Tigers to meet this incredible team tomorrow. Here's to a fantastic school year!

Today marked the beginning of our journey toward the 2026 AIA Game Day Competition. Our athletes learned a bandstand routine, situational and crowd-leading cheers, and choreography for our fight song—the routine they'll perform at State!
We're also giving a shout-out to Rayna and Georgianna, who aren't pictured but were just as successful during today's choreography lesson. We're so proud of these girls and can't wait to see what they accomplish this season! —Coach Smith

A proud St. David alumnus (Class of 2007), Mr. Krebs has dedicated 16 years to Fire/EMS and has spent the past 10 years teaching outside the public school system. Inspired by his father, an EMT instructor, he's passionate about giving back to the community that helped shape him.
When he's not teaching, you might find him playing bass guitar—he even used to be in a band called Mindless Mayhem! 🎸
Mr. Krebs hopes every student leaves his class with professionalism, integrity, accountability, and strong communication skills, and he describes his classroom in three words: Caring. Professional. Rewarding.
We're excited to welcome Mr. Krebs and can't wait to see the opportunities our new EMS program will provide for our students. 💙💛🐯

If you're in the area this week, please stop by during office hours to pick up your child's report. These reports provide information about your student's performance on the state assessments and can be a helpful resource for understanding their academic progress.

If you would like to learn more about these assessments or access parent resources and practice materials, the Arizona Department of Education offers helpful information on its website.
