Today our 3-5 grade students had a "gourd-geous" time visiting Dusty Quail Farms! From picking the perfect pumpkins to learning about local wildlife, our students enjoyed a fun-filled day exploring fall on the farm. There were train rides, laughter and plenty of smiles as they experienced the pumpkin patch. A huge thank-you to the team at Dusty Quail Farms for welcoming our students and making it such a memorable trip!

Just a reminder that our Elementary Costume Parade is tomorrow morning (Thursday, October 30). Students may wear their costumes to school. Parade route: Students will leave the 3-5 playground, walk in front of the ’38 Building and the front offices, go between the library and cafeteria, to the east side of the gym and then around to the football field. The parade starts at 8:30 a.m.

🌞 A Stellar Science Day! 🌞Our 3rd–5th graders had an amazing opportunity yesterday to safely look at the sun through a real solar telescope! 🔭

A huge thank you to Mr. Bentley, Eastern Arizona College, and the EAC Astronomy Department for sharing their solar telescope with Mrs. Fry’s science lab and showing our students how to observe the sun up close—in real time!

Students were fascinated to learn more about our favorite star, spot solar features, and even witness some incredible solar activity on the sun’s surface. ☀️✨

We’re so grateful for this hands-on learning experience that truly made science come to life! 💛

🎀 National Red Ribbon Week is here! 🎀This week our elementary students will celebrate making healthy, drug-free choices with fun activities and dress-up days!

Dress-Up Days:
🕶️ Monday: Sunglasses – “Too Cool for Drugs”
💇 Tuesday: Crazy Hair – “Drugs Make You Crazy”
🔴 Wednesday: Wear Red – for Red Ribbon Week
👻 Thursday: Halloween Costumes – “Ghouls & Ghosts Say NO to Drugs!”

🎨 Activities: Each class will help create a school-wide mural of coloring pages.
Students will sign the Drug-Free Pledge and our Drug-Free Banner.

Everyone will receive a bracelet (their red ribbon) to wear proudly all week!

Plus, a special visit from the K-9 unit! 🐾

Parents, we encourage you to use this week as a chance to talk with your children about making positive choices. ❤️

All of our school fields have been recently reseeded and need time to grow and take root. To help keep them in great condition, the fields are closed to public use at this time.

The football field may still be used for activities when it’s not in use by our football program.
