The 2026–27 school year is off to a fantastic start at St. David Schools! Across campus, our students and teachers are learning, creating, competing, and working together—and there is already so much to celebrate.

Learning Is Happening!

Our students have jumped into the school year ready to learn. From Kindergarten through 6th grade, students have been learning sentence starters to the tune of “Old MacDonald Had a Farm,” making learning engaging, memorable, and fun.

Our K–5 students have already read more than 2 million words! This incredible accomplishment so early in the school year reflects the hard work and commitment our students and teachers are putting into literacy.

Our high school students are also putting their learning into action. They recently worked together to write a grant proposal to renovate our football facilities, giving them a real-world opportunity to practice writing, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.

Arts, Activities & Creativity

Learning extends well beyond the traditional classroom at St. David.

Students are working hard to prepare for our next big musical, Aladdin, and we can't wait to see their hard work come to life on stage.

Our culinary students have also been busy putting their skills to work through a grilled cheese competition and a flatbread pizza cook-off. These hands-on experiences give students opportunities to be creative, work as a team, and develop skills they can use well beyond the classroom.

Building Community Through Our House System

Our high school House System is off to a great start. Students are building relationships, developing school pride, and learning what it means to work together as a team.

As part of that effort, our high school students put their teamwork into action during a community cleanup day, giving back to the community that supports our school.

Tiger Athletics

There is plenty to celebrate in Tiger Athletics as well!

St. David is honored to be the 2025–26 E.A. Row Award winner for Overall Excellence in Athletics, an award recognizing the top small school in the state. Even more impressive, this marks the third time in the last three years that St. David has earned this honor. We look forward to officially receiving the award at our home football game on October 16.

Our teams are also having a strong start to the season:

  • Middle School Football

    is undefeated.

  • Middle School Volleyball

has dropped only one match and won its preseason tournament.

  • Middle School Cross Country

had a winner at the 5th/6th Grade Meet.

  • High School Knowledge Bowl

took 1st place at its first meet.

  • High School Football

is currently 2–1 and recently traveled to Colorado, where students also visited Mesa Verde National Park.

  • High School Volleyball

    is currently undefeated.

So Much to Be Proud Of

While these accomplishments are exciting, what makes us most proud is seeing our students working hard, supporting one another, trying new things, and representing St. David with pride.

From academics and athletics to the arts, activities, and serving our community, there is so much good happening at St. David Schools. Our teachers are working hard, our students are stepping up, and our entire school community is continuing to build the Tiger Pride that makes St. David special.

Thank you to our families for your continued support and for entrusting your children to us each day. We are proud of the way our Tigers have started the year and excited about all that is still to come!

Tiger Pride. Tradition. Success. Go Tigers! 🐯
